Fejiro Mejire

Associate Writer

Fejiro Mejire is a fourth-year student at the University of Ottawa studying International Development and globalization with a minor in Economics. There, Fejiro studies intersections between macroeconomic activities, politics, and equitable international development through courses offered at the university, external conferences and seminars, as well as community engagement.

Fejiro is interested in exploring the ways economic and political occurrences affect the everyday lives of people as seen through media and relationships in society. Her academic path and extracurricular activities are crucial to helping Fejiro understand the divide between the administration of politics and economics and its effect on people outside the sphere. Fejiro's work at TMI aims to bridge that gap and provide commentary on the situations that result from the divide. Fejiro continues to refine her knowledge and her skills through avenues like school, work as an independent write,r and volunteering.
